Pro Pilkki 2 beside the wider Ice Fishing habit
Plenty of phone fishing sessions are a short cast and a splash on the screen. This card argues for a different object. The argument is the developer's, quoted here, not a ranking. Checked 25 September 2026.
The word the store puts on the category row
Google Play files the app under Simulation and Casual. The about text spends its length on lakes, tournaments, equipment, and a network game that is "fully compatible with PC-version." That is a simulation pitch sitting in a casual shelf. I am recording the shelf and the pitch, not deciding which one wins.
Age of the object
The card dates the listing to 8 June 2016. In a public reply from November 2020 the developer says they started creating the game more than 20 years before that reply. The update line on the card we read is 23 August 2026, and it mentions mandatory Play requirements rather than a new lake. Longevity is on the card. A changelog of features is not.
Who the about text thinks it is for
Two readers are written in. One is told to use single-player tournaments and then "prove it" in public online games. The other is told to join a relaxed network game, fish, and chat. The trial reader is a third person, limited to three lakes. The card does not say which of those readers the $3.99 item is for.
What I will not turn this into
This is not a comparison table against other fishing apps. I have not re-checked those cards for this note. It is not a claim that the interface was rebuilt for a phone: a review on the listing, from November 2018, says the interface is decent and not specifically tailored for mobile, and another, from September 2019, says the controls feel more like a computer. Those are reviewer sentences, dated, and they sit on the card.
